At this point, MS is positioning Windows 10 mobile to be niche product. They want professionals to pick it up and use it. Windows 10 mobile is alive and well on tablets, so getting it on several phones a year aimed at productivity only helps. To look at this and say “it will never compete with Android and the iPhone” shows very little foresight into what the mobile industry could be in 2-3 years from now. MS lost the bid to be competitive in the consumer market. They are shooting for a whole other ballgame now, and MS excels at enterprise products.
