WeChat could still release a new Windows 10 UWP app
Earlier this year, Tencent announced that the company is dropping plans to build a Windows 10 UWP app, calling reality “cruel.” Well, turns out, the company could still be making a new app for Windows 10. Recently, Microsoft released the official slides from WinHEC. In one of the slides where the company shows off Windows Ink, there are two screenshots of the “WeChat Messaging” app. This, of course, doesn’t reveal much about the app as expected. It’s still possible that WeChat isn’t planning to release a Windows 10 app – however, if and when it happens, we will let you know.
