iPhone rumours: Apple to reinvent phone with edgeless display and no home button next year
Apple will defy claims that its innovation has dried up when it launches next year’s iPhone, according to a prominent Apple blogger. As the iPhone reaches 10-years-old, Apple could revamp the iconic phone with an edge-to-edge display and no home button, John Gruber predicts. The 2017 phone could be called the iPhone 7s or iPhone 8, and may have an full-screen display if Gruber, an Apple blogger with generally reliable sources, is correct. In this case, the Touch ID sensor would be underneath the screen.
