Play Protect is no magic wand against Android viruses
Google launched Play Protect this summer to protect Android devices from malicious viruses. The service scans applications downloaded from the Play Store, as well as applications from other sources. But Android users should not depend solely on Play Protect to defend their devices against harmful apps, warns the consumer protection portal Mobilsicher.de.
