Sony’s next Xperia flagships could ship with Android O
There are actually two models, G83XX and G84XX. Which makes sense since it would be the, let’s call it, Z7 and Z7 Compact (because the X line is a mess). Breaking with the X Compact makes all the sense. Not only was it a flop, Sony has already decided to put an end to the X and X Compact category which they called “Premium Standard”. They’ll only do “value added Premium” which was the philosophy behind the Z line. So, the next Compact will be a real Compact, not an abortion like the X Compact. In fact, this would be a good time for Sony to kill the failed X line and return to the Z line.
