このコードでは、Microsoftの信頼のパートナーに到達できるが、リークが本物であることを確認した米IT大手ウェブサイトベタアルキバに現れた。
この問題は、非常に小さいものであったことが確認されているが、それは元のデータが32TBが流出していたことが報告された。
The Vergeの取材に対し、Microsoftが「1.2GB」をウェブに掲載したい旨述べました。
「われわれの調査は、これらのファイルが実際のソースコード開示制度『Shared Source Initiativeからソース・コードの一部であり、OEMパートナーによって使用されていることが確認された」と広報担当者は述べた。

Another reason NOT to upgrade to Windows 10? Major leak raises security concerns
Windows 10 users could face major security issues after Microsoft confirmed that some of its source code had been leaked online. The code, which is usually only accessible to Microsoft’s trusted partners, appeared on website BetaArchive with the US technology giant confirming the leak was genuine. It was originally reported that a whopping 32TB of data had been leaked although it has since been confirmed that the issue was much smaller. Speaking to The Verge, Microsoft stated that “just 1.2GB” was posted on the web.
