Cook氏はBloomberg氏によると、同社は自動運転車に取り組んでいた時とのインタビューの中で、彼の手を2015年初めから様々な報道機関からも報告されている。
「われわれは、自律システムにしようと努力している」とCook氏はBloombergに語った。「自律システムの目的の一つは、自動運転車が明確となった。他にもございますが全てのAI事業の母であると考えています。」
まさにドラマティックに思える–クックは数時間前に発表したことを除いて、Cookは「母」技術と呼ばれている他のいくつかの製品が存在する。

Apple chief executive Tim Cook made a lofty proposition this month: That Apple was working on “the mother of all A.I. [artificial intelligence] projects.” Cook tipped his hand in an interview with Bloomberg, when he confirmed the company is working on self-driving cars, something that had been reported by a variety of media outlets since early 2015. “We’re focusing on autonomous systems,” Cook told Bloomberg. “Clearly one purpose of autonomous systems is self-driving cars. There are others. We sort of see it as the mother of all AI projects.
