Twitter Adds Live Video to iOS, Android Apps
Twitter announced Wednesday that users of its iOS and Android applications can now create and tweet Periscope-powered live videos directly via their apps. Senior manager of software engineering Sara Haider said in a blog post that the update will roll out to all iOS and Android users “over the coming days,” and she provided further details on the new feature: Starting today, you can create and tweet live video from the Twitter app, powered by Periscope. To go live, compose a tweet, and then tap “Live” which brings you to a pre-broadcast screen where you can frame your shot.
