ANDROID ARMY? Scientists make huge breakthrough in bid to create TERMINATOR robots
Are we on the brink of a terminator-style robot army? Droids similar to the T-1000, which was conceptualised and made famous by 1990s franchise The Terminator, could come to fruition after the advancement in the technology. A team of engineers from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, created switches and pumps out of metal alloys that operated by themselves. The research team said that the breakthrough they have made could be applied to electronic devices – such as robots – which have ‘living tissue’ – much like the T-1000 which is virtually indestructible in the film series.
