Today’s XKCD comic perfectly sums up Android’s volume problem

As I’m sure many of you know, Android has three distinct ‘volumes’ – one for media, one for the ringer, and one for alarms. Each has its own volume level, but unless you’re playing media, adjusting the volume just changes the ringer – leading to the problem XKCD nailed in today’s comic. If you live under a rock, XKCD is an online comic strip famous for depicting relatable scenarios. For just about every situation you can imagine, especially tech-related ones, there is almost always a relevant XKCD strip.

Microsoft’s Mixer Create mobile game streaming apps for iOS and Android come out of beta

After launching in beta a couple of months ago, the Mixer Create app is now officially available on iOS and Android. This standalone app has two main purposes, letting you live stream what you’re doing using your smartphone camera, but also broadcast mobile games with sub-second latency. The ability to stream mobile gameplay is quite exciting, and it will work with any game on an Android device. On iOS though, the feature will be available on select games that leveraged Apple’s ReplayKit broadcasting API.

WhatsApp team after regularly updating their Beta App for Windows Phone has finally today pushed out a new update for its Official application for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. Apple’s Newest iPhone Will Cost HOW MUCH?!

I mean, I can’t say I’m shocked. I’m more enraged than shocked. We get that having a phone in your pocket is like having a mini computer, but on September 12, Apple will release the iPhone 8 and it will cost as much as a MacBook Air. The phone will apparently be button free, full screened, and will cost $1,000 whole American Dollars. The things I could get with that would be ASTRONOMICAL! Let’s think about it: Even though I really enjoy my iPhone, I don’t think I’d want to drop $1k on it outright. I’ll stick to my paying of my installment plans so it’s less painless, thanks.

GCCはもはやサポートされていません。今すぐNDKから削除されませんが、バックポートパッケージを受信しなくなると、libc++はデフォルトで十分安定になるまで除去することができず、ニュストルの一部はまだClangと互換性がありません。他のSTLはr18において除去される時に除去される。

libc++がベータを外したのは、現在はNDKに好適なSTL。17年以降、libc++は,CMakeとスタンドアロンのツールチェーンで、デフォルトのSTLです。手動で異なるSTLを選択した場合は、libc++に移動することをお勧めします。詳細については、このブログ記事を参照してください。TODO:ブログの投稿を作成します。

ARM5(アルマエビ)はサポートされなくなりました。これは、明示的な名前であり、「all」および「all32」が含まれる場合、デフォルトndkビルドによって作成されません。しかし、まだ構築可能である。

Changelog r16 beta1

The deprecated headers have been removed. Unified Headers are now simply The Headers. GCC is no longer supported. It will not be removed from the NDK just yet, but is no longer receiving backports. It cannot be removed until after libc++ has become stable enough to be the default, as some parts of gnustl are still incompatible with Clang. It will be removed when the other STLs are removed in r18. libc++ is out of beta and is now the preferred STL in the NDK. Starting in r17, libc++ is the default STL for CMake and standalone toolchains.

ArcGIS Apps and iOS 11

Apple CEO Tim Cook took the stage on  June 5th, 2017, at the Worldwide Developers Conference and introduced iOS 11. The expected release date is “Fall” of 2017 and historically these releases come near the end of September or early in October. With any major OS update, there are concerns about compatibility. Within Esri, we are constantly testing against ArcGIS Apps against previous, present and future versions of iOS. Each of our apps have a series of “sanity tests”.

Apple Releases iOS 11 Beta 9

Less than a week after the release of iOS 11 beta 8, Apple has now released iOS 11 Beta 9 to both developers and members of its public beta testing program. The iOS 11 Beta 9 brings a range of new features to the iPhone and iPad, it is now available to download for both registered developers and also members of Apple’s public beta testing program. Some of the new features in iOS 11 will include a new Lock Screen and Control center, plus updates to a wide range of apps and much more.
