Don’t Even Think About Downloading Apple’s Latest iOS Before Doing This

The Snapchat app for iOS devices has been updated with a new widget feature, which is designed to make it easier and quicker for Snapchat users to send snaps and messages to friends.Available in the Today view of the Notification Center, the Snapchat widget adds a Bitmoji for friends that are marked as “Best Friends” within the Snapchat app.Tapping on the friend Bitmoji automatically opens up a chat with that person. Apple hires well-known iOS security researcher

Apple has hired security researcher Jonathan Zdziarski, according to his personal blog. Zdziarski is best known for opposing claims about Apple by the FBI following the San Bernadino shooting. He’s also made headlines in when he claimed Apple had a backdoor into iOS, and for finding security flaws in apps like WhatsApp. Most recently, he published his findings after looking through the encryption tech behind Confide, an app for sending self-destructing messages that became popular among Republicans in Washington, as Axios reported.

Google staff have created an iPhone-only app to watch YouTube videos with your friends

Google’s famous ’20 percent time’ – where employees could spend the equivalent of one day a week working on a side project of their own choosing – has led to some pretty impressive results, including Gmail, Google Maps and the company’s ad network Adsense. The latest creation to emerge from the program is an app called Uptime, designed to allow people to watch YouTube videos with remote friends, adding real-time comments and reactions. Google briefly broke ‘Droid Pay with last week’s Android update

Last week’s Android security update broke Android’s Pay for some Nexus 6 users, so it was pulled and re-posted. We’ll probably never know whether the issue would have affected users on non-Google devices because it takes a while for new firmware to wend its way through the alleys of the Android ecosystem, but Nexus 6 users were quick to vent on Reddit about their broken Android Pay. The issue landed as a bug report, and on March 9, a Googler said developers had been assigned to fix the issue. Both Android Sage and Android Police noted the disappearance and re-appearance of the N6F26U image.
