Fresh Surface Pro with LTE update improves network reliability

Microsoft this week began rolling out another firmware update for the Surface Pro with LTE. The update is a small one, only containing a single fix, but it should help to improve any snags you’ve hit with network reliability while on the road. Lemuro launches premium iPhone lens range on Kickstarter

German photo accessory firm Lemuro has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for a new range of premium lenses for iPhone users. The new Lemuro iPhone range consists of an 8mm fisheye, 18mm wide-angle, a 25mm 10x macro lens and a 60mm portrait lens. The new Lemuro lenses are made of aluminium and are compatible with the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus, 8 / 8 Plus and iPhone X. The Lemuro lenses boast a metal lens mount that attaches to a leather protective case for the phone. Lemuro says its lenses should be shipped in November this year.

E3 2018: Command and Conquer: Rivals Announced

At EA Play today, EA revealed Command and Conquer: Rivals for iOS and Android. Rivals is a competitive RTS that features 1v1 battles and will only be available on mobile devices. Android users will be able to register for a pre-alpha and start playing today, but no details on the iOS release were revealed yet. This is the first official new Command and Conquer game since Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances, which came to PC in 2012. Stay tuned to IGN for impressions of Command and Conquer: Rivals as E3 continues this week.

EA Announces ‘Command & Conquer Rivals’ With an Android Pre-Alpha Available Today

My EA mobile E3 prediction was a English port of Command & Conquer: Red Alert Online which was released in Asia a while ago. I’ll give myself half credit as instead of Red Alert, EA announced Command & Conquer Rivals. Based on the E3 demo, it seems like it’s a card-based battler that plays a bit like if you smashed together the basic concepts of Command & Conquer with the multiplayer gameplay of Clash Royale.

OnePlus 6 bootloader vulnerability lets anyone with access into your phone

The OnePlus 6 is a really great phone for not a lot of money. It’s easy to see why anyone would want to buy one, and if you recently pick one up, you need to be aware of a new exploit that could give the right person complete control over your device. First reported at XDA Developers, president of Edge Security, Jason Donenfeld (under his XDA username zx2c4) shows that the flaw allows a person who has access to your phone and a computer to boot the system using a modified image.

Snapseed v2.19 adds dark theme option [APK Download]

Snapseed’s previous big update last fall saw it fall prey to Google’s current proclivity for lighter user interface design. Turns out a lot of people don’t enjoy that. It should please many of our readers to know, then, that version 2.19, which is rolling out now, restores the option to choose a dark theme for Google’s best image editor. Our commenters were miffed at the new light interface when it rolled out. While I find lighter UIs to be more aesthetically pleasing, personally, I admit they can contribute to eye strain in dimly-lit scenarios. Either way, choice is always best.

Our phones are so intuitive and addicting to use that we often forget how quickly time flies when we are using them. We often struggle to put our phones down at night when we need that sleep or reset. Those endless notifications and messages keep us scrolling, tapping and typing. In iOS 12, Apple introduced a lot of neat, useful features. One of which was Do-Not-Disturb at Bedtime. This feature basically hides notifications from you until the scheduled time is over. iOS 12: You can now report spam messages and calls in messaging apps

To report SMS messages and calls, the user must enable an Unwanted Communication extension in the Settings app. They can only enable one Unwanted Communication extension at a time. In order to report calls, the user swipes left on an item in the Recents list and selects Report. For SMS messages, they press the Report Messages button when it appears in the Messages transcript. Users can also select messages by long-pressing a message and selecting additional messages, then selecting Report Messages.
