If you think the $999 iPhone X is expensive, check out LG’s new $1800 smartphone

The iPhone X is pricey with a $999 starting price, but LG’s new Signature Edition smartphone costs $1,800. LG announced the device Thursday morning, which is based on the LG V30 flagship device and will be sold locally in South Korea for 2 million won, or about $1,800, according to The Verge. It’s made out of ceramic, a tough material that’s resistant to cracks and fracturing and was used in other smartphones this year, including the Essential phone.

Are Android users having issues syncing?

Since the newest firmware and app update, my Ionic will not sync unless I restart the device or restart my phone. I even attempted to factory reset and that went south. I’m running Android 6.0 on an LG G4 which has been my phone for quite some time. No major issues with Fitbit until the updates. I do have an iPhone 7 I use for work. I installed the app there and was able to get tracker functional after the failed reset. The device pairs and syncs flawlessly with the iPhone. Unfortunately this isn’t the device I want paired with my tracker.

Oreo for Android Wear is starting to roll out today

Google is beginning to roll out its Android Oreo update for Android Wear devices today, according to a post on the platform developers’ Google+ page (via 9to5Google). Unlike Oreo on smartphones, the Android Wear version of the update is a much more minor affair, adding features like the ability to change notification vibration strength, manually lock the touchscreen for wet conditions, and support for seven new countries / languages.

Apple has released watchOS 4.2 for Apple Watch. The latest software update is available for all Apple Watch models and includes support for Apple Pay Cash. After setting up Apple Pay Cash on iPhone with iOS 11.2, Apple Pay Cash becomes an option in watchOS 4.2 in the Messages app and Wallet app on Apple Watch. Apple Pay Cash also works with Siri. To download the new software, head to the companion Watch app on an iPhone. On the My Watch tab, select General > Software Update. The watch will need to be connected to Wi-Fi, on a charger, and charged to at least 50 percent. Using watchOS 4.2, users can send and receive money through Messages using the new Apple Pay Cash feature that also arrived in iOS 11.2. It’s currently only available in the United States. Apple Watch Now Supports Apple Pay Cash

If you have an Apple (AAPL) Watch you can now ask Siri to pay someone directly. Apple has released watchOS 4.2 for the Watch. The software update will be available as a free update and is required to send and receive money, and use Apple Pay Cash on any Apple Watch model, according to Apple’s website. Apple Pay can also be used to make payments on the iPhone and iPad. With the watch, you use the debit and credit cards already added to Apple Pay, without having to install an app or create another account. Shares of Apple are higher in afternoon trading.
