Apple showcases new emoji headed to iOS, watchOS, macOS later this year

Apple has released a sneak peek at the new emoji coming to iOS, macOS and watchOS later this year. The update includes more mundane changes like adding a sandwich to the food items and a bearded face alongside more socially conscious changes like a woman in a headscarf and a breastfeeding mother. A T-Rex has made his way into the animals section and zombies and elves will make their first appearance. To further celebrate World Emoji Day, the company is highlighting apps to create or utilize emoji in the App Store and has replaced some movie titles with emoji versions over in iTunes.

Apple set to release new emojis

In celebration of World Emoji Day, Apple is sharing some of the new emoji coming to iOS, macOS and watchOS. Applie said the emojis will make it easier for users to express themselves with greater diversity, additional animals and creatures, new smiley faces and more. It’s now easier to find apps compatible with Microsoft’s Surface Dial on the Windows Store

Last October, alongside its Surface Studio all-in-one desktop PC, Microsoft introduced the Surface Dial, describing it as “a new tool for the creative process”. Priced at $99.99, the rotary controller offers new ways to interact with a range of software – but it requires app-level support to be able to do so. Microsoft has now made it easier to find apps on the Windows Store that support the Surface Dial. Microsoft’s Jen Gentleman (@JenMSFT) revealed that the company added a new Apps for Surface Dial collection to the Store over the weekend, more clearly signposting such apps to users.

Is This What The iPhone 8 Will Look Like?

The only thing that the renderings don’t show may be wireless charging . Those rumors can’t be confirmed via the rendering, though Fast Company reports that it’s one thing holding developers back. The magazine reports that Apple is having problems integrating wireless charging into its new software. However, that may not impact the new iPhone’s actual release. In the past, Apple has incorporated new features only to have them activated later on, such as Portrait Mode on the iPhone 7 Plus, which went live after a software update.

Googleはかなり前から、Android TV向けアプリ「ユーチューブ」を無視してきたが、先月末にはGoogleの「YouTube」アプリケーションの速度まで持ってきた巨大なデザイン変更をしました。現在、Android TVのエコシステムに利用可能なアップデートを最後にされる。

この新しいデザインの初公開には、x86チップセットとプロセッサーを搭載した端末に上陸する。それは、基本的に放出し、老化が引き続きサポートNexus Playerに限定されます。インテル・チップセットで動作して、そのバージョンのアプリにもぴったり。

しかし、今日では、この更新は、最終的にはARMチップが来た。ARMアーキテクチャはスマートフォンに給電するものであり、ほとんどのAndroid TVやテレビにも電力がNvidia Shield TV(リリース)とXiaomi Mi Boxのような他の一般的なオプションが含まれています。

YouTube’s big redesign for Android TV is now available on ARM devices like the Nvidia Shield

Google has neglected the YouTube app for Android TV for quite some time, but late last month it got a huge redesign that brought it up to speed with the rest of Google’s YouTube applications. Today, that update is finally available for the rest of the Android TV ecosystem. The initial rollout of this new design landed for devices powered by processors with an x86 chipset. That basically limited the release to one device, the aging but somehow still supported Nexus Player. Running on an Intel chipset, it fit the bill for that version of the app.
