Official Build 2017 app now available for download on Windows, iOS and Android

Microsoft yesterday released its Official app for the Build 2017 conference to be held next week. The Official Build App 2017 is now available for download on Windows 10, Android and iOS devices. Users will be able to use the app to find the details of the all the different sessions that are happening during the conference. With the new Build app the company has also added a new Schedule Builder which essentially allows users to build their own personal schedule for the event.

Windows 10 Creators Update landing on Alcatel Idol 4S — did you get it?

Here are the changes and known issues with Windows 10 Mobile Insider build 15210

Microsoft is rolling out today the Windows 10 Mobile Insider build 15210 to Fast Ring Insiders, and this is once again a minor update for the “feature2” development branch. The changelog only mentions two fixes and two known issues and you can find all the details below: As the Windows Insider team explained a couple weeks ago, Windows 10 Mobile recently got its own “feature2” fork, which is a temporary measure to let the team do some OneCore work on the main OS.

Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 15210 now available in the Fast ring

Last Friday, Microsoft released Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview, build 15208, to the Fast ring. Today, it’s following up with a further release, build 15210 – but there’s not much to get excited about. 15210 is the fifth build to emerge from the Windows 10 Mobile ‘feature2’ branch, which Microsoft recently split from the main Windows 10 Redstone 3 (RS3) Development Branch, which will eventually lead to the next major update to the OS in September.

Windows 10 Mobile Build 15210 is now available with improvements

Windows 10 Mobile Build 15210 is now rolling to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring. Microsoft has released the new update for Windows 10 Mobile Devices with improvements and bug fixes. Windows 10 Mobile Build 15208 is from feature2 branch and it does not contain a single new feature. Microsoft has fixed an issue with the Glance screen where the time was not updating. The previous update has added a bug that was causing some Windows Phones to lose the text message backup, it has been fixed with this release. As it is a preview build, it does come with some known issues.

How to find the iPhone calculator’s hidden backspace

True story: Just yesterday I was tapping away in the iOS calculator app, adding up a long list of expenses for my company’s monthly P&L statement. And because my fingers fly quickly, occasionally I’d hit the wrong number. Aaargh! Calculator lacks a backspace key, so my only option was to clear the entire entry and tap it out again. Right? Nope. Turns out the app does have a backspace option — one that’s completely hidden and that you’d probably never find by accident. The secret: Swipe either direction across the numbers. Not the keypad numbers, but the numbers up top, in the black.
