Microsoft Teams for Android updated with video call support, Intune app management, and more

With general availability right around the corner, Microsoft is busy updating Teams, its ‘chat-based workspace’ tool. On this occasion, it’s the turn of the Android variant to get a couple of new features. This latest update brings the app to version 1416/1.0.0.2017030802, adding support for what the firm dubs “immersive video calls”, and application management through Microsoft Intune. Improvements have been made on the performance and accessibility sides too, and the usual bug fixes are present as well.

Microsoft releases Windows 10 Creators Update Build 15055 for PC and Mobile to the Fast ring

Last week, Microsoft pushed out multiple Windows 10 Insider Preview updates — Builds 15046 and 15048 for PC, and 15047 for Mobile. Yesterday, Mobile users got Build 15051, and today the software giant announces Build 15055 for both PC and Mobile. The flurry of new builds shows we’re getting ever closer to the launch of the Creators Update which is due next month. Windows 10 Mobile build 15051 is now downloadable for Slow Ring Insiders

Earlier today, Dona Sarkar and the Windows Insider team pushed out build 15055 for PC and Mobile Insiders in the Fast Ring. Windows 10’s Action Center is useful for more than simply looking at your notifications and acting on them. The Action Center also hosts “Quick Actions”, a selection of toggles which configure settings on your PC without having to navigate to the settings menu and drill down to the specific setting you want. OneDrive for Windows 10 arrives on the Xbox One

Microsoft has brought its Windows 10 OneDrive app to the Xbox platform for Xbox One users. This means that Xbox users can now access their OneDrive files on their console – not just limited to photos and videos like the previous app. The app is pretty much the same as the Windows 10  Mobile and Windows 10 PC iterations with some small allowances for the Xbox interface.

Does the iPhone 8 have an OLED display?

Early reports suggest at least one iPhone 8 model will ship with an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) display. OLED displays do not require a backlight making them thinner and more responsive than Apple’s current LCD displays.
