Microsoft shows how to make a simple iOS app which can be ported to Windows 10

Microsoft clearly wants iOS app developers to consider porting their apps so they can work on Windows 10. The latest such effort gives those developers a simple tutorial on how to use the Windows Bridge for iOS tools on a simple iOS app. The highly technical blog post outlines how to make a basic “to-do list” app in Xcode, and then use the Windows Bridge for iOS tools on the app so it works on Windows 10. The tutorial requires a PC running Windows 10, along with with Visual Studio 2015 and the Windows Bridge for iOS tools. It also requires a Mac with OS X 10.11 and Xcode 7.

SOTI MobiControl gets updated to bring support for Windows 10 Mobile

Apple updates OS X, iOS 9 with security fixes

Apple has released two iterative updates to its iPhone and iPad, and Mac line-up. The company said Tuesday that both of its iOS 9.2.1 and OS X 10.11.3 updates land mostly with security patches and stability fixes. Nine fixes were posted for the Mac platform, including a fix for a flaw that could’ve allowed an attacker to execute code with kernel privileges. The patch also comes with fix for an issue that prevents some Macs from waking from sleep when connected to some 4K-resolution displays.

Apple Releases iOS 9.2.1 with MDM Fixes and 9 Security Patches

Apple released iOS 9.2.1 Tuesday, an update that fixes an issue with mobile device management (MDM) servers. The update also includes security fixes for 9 different security holes, most of which allow the bad guys to take over your iOS device. You can download the update on your iOS device through Settings -> General -> Software Update, where it’s a 40.8MB download for iPhone 6s or a 35.2MB download for iPad Air.
