Google Maps for iOS Shows How Busy a Location is in Real-Time

Google Maps has updated its iOS app with a real-time look at busy a location is at the time of search. Earlier today, we went hands-on with the recent addition of Night Shift to macOS. The feature comes with macOS 10.12.4, which was released to developers yesterday. Night Shift is Apple’s color temperature adjustment feature that automatically changes the temperature of your display depending on what time of day it is. The feature was first introduced with iOS 9.3 and has come to the Mac one year later. Do you use Night Shift on iOS? Will you use it on the Mac? Night Shift on the Mac is very similar to, though more basic than, popular third-party tool Flux.

Google today is rolling out an update to its Google Maps on iOS that brings one of the most useful features from the web version of the app to iOS. Today’s update, which bumps the app to version 4.27, the service’s popular crowd tracker, as well as the ability to quickly access addresses saved to your clipboard. Google Maps on the web has long offered a detailed chart showing when a business tends to be most busy. The feature shows traffic of people at the location on an hour-by-hour graph. The graph also shows details as to how long people typically spend at the location.

Popular Chinese social media site Weibo is bringing its app to the Xbox One

Weibo is one of China’s most popular social network, taking the place of both Twitter and Facebook for many people in the country. The company has had a UWP app available for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile for a while now, and now availability is being expanded to the Xbox One. The Xbox One is the first of the Xbox line to be officially available in China, and this is the first time they’ve had an app for the system.
