Microsoft Readying Windows 10 Updates for Older Lumia’s

We now that various Microsoft Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1 are in line to receive Windows 10 Mobile. The latest build of platform has rolled out on the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL flagships and it now seems as though Microsoft is readying to roll out the new software to some older Lumia models. The company has changed its official Windows support website to show information about software updates “for Lumia with Windows 10”. The page now shows how to upgrade handsets to Windows 10 Mobile, although there is still no information regarding when the updates will be landing.

Marshmallow debuts in less than one percent of Android devices

Google’s latest version of Android, Marshmallow, only started rolling out last month. As such, it shouldn’t come as surprise to see that the current adoption numbers for it are extremely low. According to Android’s Platform Distribution rates for the month of November, Marshmallow is running on a mere 0.3 percent of “active” devices. The data is collected from signals sent to the Play Store, which helps identify what Android version is on handsets or tablets. Some iPhone and iPad Users Are Having Touch ID Problems With iOS 9.1

Apple’s release of iOS 9.1 may have introduced a Touch ID problem for some iPhone and iPad users, reports Forbes. The site took notice of numerous support threads ( 1 10 ) on Apple’s Support Communities complaining of problems with fingerprint recognition.Notably, Forbes spent a few days discussing the problem with Apple before going to print; however, the company’s official statement on the matter is: “No comment”.As Apple is aware of the reports, presumably it is working to identify and rectify the problem. iPhoneでリマインダアプリケーションに依存してきた。私は毎日の事前通知を設定して、特にを思い出し、家に帰ったらドライヤーにタオルを置いて位置情報に基づいたアラームを楽しむのですが、どうしたら楽しくないiPhone、iPadとMac上の同じアラームが受信されています。

How to turn off iCloud Reminders on OS X and iOS

I have come to rely on the Reminders app on my iPhone. I set reminders daily and particularly enjoy location-based reminders that remind me, say, to put the towels in the dryer when I get home. What I don’t enjoy is getting the same reminder on my iPhone, iPad and MacBook. With iCloud, you can sync the Reminders app so that you are alerted to reminders from all of your devices. Because my iPhone is rarely out of arm’s length, I don’t want or need reminders duplicated across my Apple ecosystem. Thankfully, it’s easy to turn off these duplicate reminders.

You can now sign up to test Microsoft’s Cortana app for iOS

On Tuesday Microsoft published a blog post detailing how those interested in helping the company test Cortana, its personal assistant similar to Siri, on an iOS device. Cortana is currently available on Android and of course Windows 10. Those interested in testing Cortana on iOS can sign up by filling out this survey, detailing how often you use Cortana, type of iOS device and the current version of iOS installed on your device(s). Microsoft states it’s only looking for a “limited number” of people in the US and China to test an early version of the app.

Evernote adds sketching and split-screen features on iOS

Sketching has been available in Evernote’s Penultimate app for quite some time, but now the company’s main productivity app is handling your scribbles on its own. With an update for its iOS apps, Evernote now lets you sketch notes with a Jot stylus or Apple Pencil and stores them for safekeeping. What’s more, if your input device of choice supports 3D Touch, you’ll notice the line weight vary based on how much pressure you apply. You can also adjust the line thickness manually between five settings and choose between 10 color options.
